August 10-11, 2026: Jennings at Brecksville power outage

We learned from the Brecksville Fire Chief that the City of Brecksville has multiple trees and power lines down in the city. They are expecting that our campus, as well as 1300 homes in the area, will be without power until at least Tuesday afternoon. We will be serving resident meals in their apartments and bringing medications to residents in their apartments. Due to this outage, we have canceled this evening's entertainment.

As a reminder, our generator runs a limited power supply to the building, including residents' call pendants, the residents' bathroom shower light and the elevators. We are asking residents to limit their movement on the elevators to help conserve this power. Red electric outlets in resident apartments are also powered by the generator and should be used for medical and emergency equipment only. There will be no impact to resident care, which will continue as normal. However, there is no air conditioning during the power outage.
