Memory Care Assisted Living

Jennings at Notre Dame Village supports individuals living with memory or cognitive loss in three residences with the architecture of a neighborhood home. Each house, designed with open floor plans and unique features, engage the nationally acclaimed “small house” philosophy and each house is home to 12 individuals who each have a private residence.

Natural home environments are ideal for individuals who benefit from additional support due to memory challenges. Social areas, activities and amenities invite friendships and enable the spirit of community to flourish. Architecturally, the natural home environment features a living room with fireplace, dining room, full kitchen, pantry, utility rooms, a laundry, multi-purpose room, spa, and home office. Each individual has his/her own residence that includes fall protection flooring and private bathrooms with showers. Thes comfortable private suites need only their personal touch with furniture and home furnishings.

Residents enjoy freedom of movement in secure courtyard between residences, with walking paths, gardening opportunities, outdoor furniture and more.

The open floor plan in a natural home environment invites community with a cozy living room, smaller spaces with game tables and seating, and plenty of opportunities for socialization or privacy.

Each house is home to 12 residents, who enjoy meals home cooked meals served family style in the dining room, participate in cooking and baking, and access the kitchen for a snack or beverage.

Through nationally-recognized small house philosophies and practices, the holistic approach honors each resident’s choices and gives equal weight to all aspects of the holistic person, well beyond merely the physical/medical needs. We view each resident’s choices as important, and we honor them.
