Don: exploring creativity with stained glass

Don has enjoyed a creative lifestyle for decades, creating intricate stained glass art of all sizes. From small hummingbirds that catch the light in a window to 36"x24" scenes depicted in stained glass, Don's work is breathtaking.

His creativity is important to him and continues to give him purpose. He explains, "If I was not continuing to work and be creative on glass, my mind would be going downhill. I can't draw stick figures, but I can sure put a lot of nice pieces of glass together."

Don also teaches stained glass art in community classes. He shares that Jennings at Notre Dame Village gives him the independence to pursue his passion while knowing that his wife receives good care on the same campus. "I came to Jennings because...I was getting up in years and the priority thing was that my wife was beginning in the memory care and I can go any time day or night to visit her."
