Generosity propels Jennings' annual fundraiser past its goal

The Jennings staff is glowing from our 2026 Spirit and Splendor fundraiser and your incredible show of support! Thank you to everyone - sponsors, event guests, volunteers, and supporters at home - who made this event a success. With your generosity, Jennings raised nearly $234,000 to benefit our mission and ministry of serving aging adults.

Our guests joined us at Cleveland's historic The Agora and enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by A Taste of Excellence Catering. A thoughtful message from Jennings' Board Chair Dr. Robert Eckardt, welcomed guests and Fr. Walt Jenne's prayer officially welcomed guests for the evening. Guests checked out random raffles, silent auction, bourbon pull, wine pull, and vacation raffle ahead of the evening's highlights.

Emcee Bob Hale energized guests after dinner by kicking off the live auction. Chief Development Officer Jean Turcu and Sarah Barger, Executive Director of Assisted Living and Jennings at Brecksville promoted exciting opportunities for bidding. Congratulations to the winner of our Vacation Raffle: Jeff M!

Jennings President and CEO Allison Q. Salopeck expressed gratitude on behalf of the organization and shared some of the ways that the generosity of donors has made an impact over the last year. She stressed that beyond items or programs, "your generosity does something much more important: it gives us the ability to see each person as an individual and respond to what matters most to them."

Mrs. Salopeck asked guests to be bold for our evening's Fund the Mission and to imagine emerging technology that can benefit residents in a Smart Living Suite and illustrated this with an AI generated video. "If we can use innovation to preserve independence, protect dignity, support caregivers, and give older adults more control over their own lives, then we are not simply adopting technology. We are advancing the way we think about aging itself." She further explained the need for a living space where "we can ask questions, test ideas, listen carefully, make mistakes, learn, and then take what we discover and make it available to more people." Guests were indeed bold with their support and raised their paddles for $34,900!
