Whatever floats his boat: Jennings resident recognized for his model ship building talent

Brecksville Magazine featured one of our own in their August edition, and what a thrill it is to see Alex's story in print! Check out his incredible model shipbuilding talent, because his boats really do float!

“My kids brought a work bench up for me and put it together, and Jennings has allowed me to do this,” he said. “They love to display the boats downstairs. We’ve had all five of them down there, and the staff carried them down for me to put them on display in the community room.”

Author Dan Holland captured the story of Alex's incredible talent, noting both his knowledge of each boat's history and the hours he has spent carefully crafting even the minor details. Alex is currently working on his sixth ship, which is a replica tugboat.

At Jennings, we love to support residents' passions and purpose. But wow, what a compliment Alex gave to Jennings about our support of his hobby: “I love Jennings; the people are so good and friendly,” said McMasters. “And the service is just wonderful. Of all the places I’ve heard about, this place was number one. Jennings has been very supportive of my boat building, and I can’t say enough about the staff here and all the help they give me.”
