Freddie, a Jennings resident, recalls the March on Washington in 1963 as a beautiful momentous day. He lived close, but he remembers joining thousands of people who "came from all over the place" and were eager to take part.
He notes that when Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his "I Have a Dream" speech, it gave him the feeling of belonging. "It was one of the moments of my life I'll always remember."
You made a very tough situation a little bit easier to deal with because of the kindness you showed my Dad while he was (in) Rehab as well as to the attentiveness to us, as his family. THANK YOU for all you did for us and GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
