National Assisted Living Week Honors Residents

Assisted living communities are places where caregivers, residents, family members, and communities come together as an extended family. This week, we celebrate National Assisted Living Week® and its theme “Inspiring Generations.” During National Assisted Living Week we highlight the dedication of staff, the individuality of residents, and the deep connections formed in our communities.

The Jennings staff is honored to help residents stay connected to their friends and family and are excited to honor them this week. Residents inspire us not only with their life stories and achievements, but also the contributions they continue to make. They age successfully, through activities like engaging with neighbors, attending participating in lifelong learning, sharing their talents, and mentoring youth. They set examples by their work ethic, values, faith and experience.

National Assisted Living Week was created by the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) in 1995 to recognize the role of assisted living in caring for America’s seniors and individuals with disabilities. The annual observance inspires assisted living communities around the country to offer a variety of events and activities to celebrate the individuals they serve, as well as to help educate members of the public about this distinct aspect of long term care.
