Nothing like an ice cream trip!

Ice cream is always a good idea.

Jennings at Brecksville residents took advantage of a nice day recently for a trip to Country Maid Ice Cream. We loved a good scenic trip to check out the start of the fall colors followed by one of the area's most delicious ice cream traditions. We were surprised to learn that CountryMaid was started in 1948. Its founder, Frank Holeski, had worked for Bordens and decided to start his own ice cream shop. He built the original concrete block building in 1948 and began making ice cream.
