Crews have been making progress at the site, and we are continuing to work on the details for residences and services. We remain on schedule for construction to be complete this winter.
There are many noticeable developments to the exterior. Crews are installing the siding, and Beacon Grove now has a blend of natural color with a rich blue accent. An attractive stone accent near the foundation adds an alluring detail. The driveway is in place from Thomas Avenue to the apartment building, and crews are also preparing for the sidewalk to be poured. The parking lot area has not yet been paved, though it will be located close to the apartment building.
The crews are busy on the interior too, installing important infrastructure like plumbing and electric. The elevator has arrived and is being installed. Crews are completing the wiring and adding insulation to prepare for drywall.
Community Meetings: Jennings will be holding a series of community meetings to discuss the apartment and features, provide rates and guidelines, provide materials and explain the application process and the documents that applicants will need to provide. We welcome you to join us for one of these meetings, which are open to the public. The same information will be addressed in each session, and family members are welcome to attend.
Individuals who cannot attend or who live out of town may receive materials following the meetings. Please note that no applications will be accepted until all the meetings have been completed. As a reminder, Beacon Grove Apartments (originally named Hazelwood Court) are in construction near Thomas Street in Maple Heights, Ohio. Beacon Grove Apartments represent a collaboration between Jennings and PIRHL. The building is located in a peaceful wooded area and will offer accessible floor plans, space for community gatherings and supportive services. The building is three floors and will include 53 apartment units, including 45 with a one-bedroom layout and 8 with a two-bedroom layout.
