Gilmour Academy third graders visited residents who live on Jennings' Garfield Heights campus. The students interviewed residents with questions about their childhood school experiences to help get to know them a little better. Together they created a light up nativity scene to celebrate the feast of the epiphany, and the students then gifted them to each resident.
Barbara stays active and enjoys walking among the serene Jennings at Notre Dame Village landscape. She finds purpose these days in welcoming new residents and learning what is unique about each person to make them feel special. “You say ‘not me’ when you’re younger,” Barbara explains. “We’re all getting older, and we’re not the same as we were a few years ago."
