Come, Holy Spirit! On Pentecost Sunday, Christians commemorate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the early followers of Jesus. At Jennings, we also remember our founders, the Sisters of the Holy Spirit, as this is their feast day. The Sisters felt called “to be always responsive to the Spirit’s Holy inspirations...” especially in decision making, ministry guidance, daily work and serving where there is the greatest need.
Through the Holy Spirit, we each have unique gifts that we use in different ways but all for the same mission and the same God. In the legacy of our founders, the Sisters of the Holy Spirit, we remind each other to use our gifts and honor the gifts of others so we may all benefit the greater good.
