Jennings officially dedicated its new Holy Spirit Ridge residence with a ceremony of blessing and dedication celebrated by Catholic Diocese of Cleveland Bishop Edward Malesic. Formerly the Motherhouse of the Sisters of the Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit Ridge is now an assisted living residence at Jennings’ Garfield Heights campus.
Jennings’ President and CEO Allison Q. Salopeck welcomed a small gathering of staff, board members and residents in the Chapel. The brief ceremony was full of music, prayer, and gratitude both for a history and new area of caring for older adults. Bishop Malesic blessed guests and walked through the building to bless the individual residences and all the community spaces. In his concluding remarks, Bishop Malesic showed appreciation for the Sisters of the Holy Spirit and the ministry that lives on in their legacy.
At Holy Spirit Ridge, residents live in a natural home environment, and are supported with the principles of the nationally acclaimed small house philosophies. Serving people of all faiths, Holy Spirit Ridge welcomes individuals with varying income levels and supports individuals with person-centered choices and care.
She loves calling Jennings at Brecksville home because she has so many new friends, delicious meals, staff that cares and listens to new ideas and suggestions to ensure resident satisfaction. When asked what one word comes to mind to describe Jennings at Brecksville, she said, “exceptional!”
