Vaccine available to all staff and residents through ongoing vaccine maintenance program

Jennings is proud to offer many opportunities for residents and staff to get the COVID-19 vaccine, and we have taken advantage of Ohio’s programs, such as the Rapid Response Team clinics for independent living residents and the new Vaccine Maintenance programming. In fact, Jennings has held vaccine clinics each month since the vaccine was introduced in December. We feel it is important to be good stewards of the vaccine so that none goes to waste, and as such not all of our locations are large enough to sustain an ongoing vaccine maintenance program. All staff and residents at all Jennings locations have access to participate in our Vaccine Maintenance Program by signing up through one portal that we manage though our largest site, our Jennings Hall nursing home. Like several non-profit continuum of care organizations, it is the more efficient and timely way to sign up enough people at once to make the clinic effective and without waste. We appreciate Governor Mike DeWine‘s diligence in making vaccines accessible and look forward to the state records being corrected to reflect Jennings’ full participation in the vaccine maintenance program.

The vaccine maintenance program enables us to offer vaccines on a rolling basis, for new staff or residents who have not already received the vaccine. Unfortunately, this information was not accurately represented in state data that was reported by local news stations.
