In Garfield Heights, Jennings’ front porch is a peaceful gathering place, a warm welcome and a breath of fresh air. It’s where we gather to grill out, blow bubbles, soak up the sun and watch kids and older adults alike ride on a slip ‘n slide. Where veterans line up to salute the flag as Taps plays and we honor those who have served our country on Veteran’s Day. Where residents connect with each other and with their families, sharing stories or simply enjoying the company of loved ones in peaceful silence.

Jennings is renovating the front porch to make it even more enjoyable for residents, and for visitors when we can once again enjoy each other’s company. The renovation is possible thanks to the support of generous donors, including current and past family members.

The plan for the renovated front porch and surrounding area includes enhanced safety features, more room for residents to gather and accessible flower beds for a horticulture program. Residents spend so much time in the nice weather enjoying the porch and we want to give them a beautiful, welcoming space that can fulfill all of their needs.
