Thank you to everyone who joined us for a parade to celebrate Older Americans Month! The parade brought cheer to residents who live at Jennings’ Garfield Heights campus. We are grateful to our friends at Medical Mutual for sponsoring and coordinating the parade.
Sister Patricia Raelene served as Grand Marshal and kicked off the parade. More than 30 cars paraded around the Garfield Heights campus. Friends from Garfield Heights Police Department, Garfield Heights Fire Department, and Medical Mutual joined staff members and family members with decorated vehicles and friendly waving.
Barbara stays active and enjoys walking among the serene Jennings at Notre Dame Village landscape. She finds purpose these days in welcoming new residents and learning what is unique about each person to make them feel special. “You say ‘not me’ when you’re younger,” Barbara explains. “We’re all getting older, and we’re not the same as we were a few years ago."
