April is Minority Health Month, and Jennings will be hosting four events to help independent living residents and our community access important resources. We hope you will join us to help educate our communities. The events will be held on the following dates:
Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 12pm - 3pm
Jennings’ Library Court Apartments in Shaker Heights
Audience: aging adults and families in Shaker Heights and surrounding community
Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 11am - 3pm
Jennings’ Garfield Heights campus
Audience: staff members and the surrounding Garfield Heights community
Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 12pm - 3pm
Jennings’ Beacon Grove Apartments in Maple Heights
Audience: aging adults and families in Maple Heights and surrounding community
Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 12pm - 3pm

Audience: aging adults and families in Garfield Heights and surrounding community
The fee is $20 per table per event plus a prize for a raffle drawing valued at $20 or more. Organizations will be provided with a 6-ft table, and Jennings will list your organization’s information in the event program handed out to each attendee. Following the event, organizations will receive a list of contact information for each attendee who registered and gave permission for their information to be shared.

Barbara stays active and enjoys walking among the serene Jennings at Notre Dame Village landscape. She finds purpose these days in welcoming new residents and learning what is unique about each person to make them feel special. “You say ‘not me’ when you’re younger,” Barbara explains. “We’re all getting older, and we’re not the same as we were a few years ago."
